Our group’s rules and constitution

We have tried to make our rules as simple as possible.

They are summarized below and detailed fully in our group’s Constitution, which is linked to this page.

Our rules are in four areas:

1.     Membership

Anyone can become a member.  To do this you must give us an application form with your details and pay our annual membership fee. (Currently $10.00)

The only way that you can lose membership is by not paying the annual fee.

2.     Rules for Political Candidates

It is intended that political candidates will be endorsed and supported for one reason only – to achieve our aim of retiring all state politicians.

These candidates must offer no threat to the Federal government and always support the government if it agrees to hold the referendum we require to achieve our aim.  (Note: The candidates may abstain in the case of a conscience vote).  Once State and Territory governments have been abolished, our candidates must not seek re-election as representatives of our group.

3.     General Administration

Some of this is a little detailed and, if you are interested, please refer to our group’s Constitution.

4.     Closing down of the group

Our group will cease operation when its objective of retiring all state politicians has been achieved.  It is intended that any money remaining at this time be given to charity.
