So how do we go about it?

Most people seem to want to be rid of state and territory politicians, but see it as an impossible task.  We believe it is quite achievable and intend to address it in a rather unique fashion.

The simplest way of achieving our aim seems to be via a national referendum, however this requires action by both houses of federal parliament.  Although we intend to lobby hard, we think that politicians will resist this referendum as they will not feel sure that the country can do without their services.  We therefore intend to endorse a group of political candidates to send a loud and clear message.

There are a number of important things about these candidates that will make them quite different from normal politicians:

1. They will represent no threat to existing political parties and will always vote in support of the elected government, providing this government agrees to hold the referendum we need.
2. Once all state and territory governments have been abolished, our candidates will not seek re-election and the action group will be closed down.

Australia is one of the few places in the world where normal people can bring about a major change in the political structure of the country without resorting to violence. Although we take our task very seriously, we intend to have a lot of fun along the way..

Will you help us?  Whether you vote Liberal, Labor, Green, Democrat or whatever, supporting us will not lessen your party’s political chances.
